Date Photographed:08/05/2012
Location: Normanby Hall, Scunthorpe
Resources: www.rhs.org.uk/Gardens/Wisley/About-Wisley/Plant-of-the-month/May/Matteuccia-struthiopteris
Notes: Known as the ostrich fern due to the ostrich 'feather' left by a dead frond. Another common name is the shuttlecock fern, due to the lovely shape that the fronds collectively resemble.
